Wood Paneling

I hate to sound like a cliche, but Teamwork

yields results.

Jim Ratte of Recreational Mobility (aka "The SeaRey Specialist") is doing my avionics and my electrical harness, last month after several months of work I shipped my panel down to him. I followed Tuesday after a long couple weeks at work, and two days of "hard fun" later.....

Everything gets taken out now, the bottom of the panel will get trimmed at the corners and along the bottom, a natural stain applied to the hickory veneer followed by a few coats of satin spar varnish, then everything will get reinstalled and the wiring harness built.

Avionics/electrical are:
Dynon 10" Skyview with Mode S transponder, GPS, ADS-B
PAR100EX radio
ACI Gear Alert system
External Rotax alternator

More to go.....

I had some veneer left over from the panel, so I thought, What the heck. This piece is stained and finished, gives a good idea what the finished panel will look like.

More in a couple days when I get caught up.

Thanks Santa!!!!

Nothing like spending my tax return before I even get it. A quick trip to see Jim in-between trips shows the panel arrived safe and sound, and the first box of avionics is on his bench.

Ooooooooo........

And of course, that results in more changes. The Cessna split master switch mount was too shallow for the panel, so we're replacing it with two SPST toggle switches.
