Final assembly

Gordon's going to kill me.... (but we got away with it)

When I did the mandatory Passenger Warning sign, I didn't consider that it had to be plainly visible, but instead fit the size of the font to the area I had available. Well... when the panel was in the jig it was obvious the sign was too small. I dreaded trying to remove the placard, and came up with a few wild ways to work around it, none of which were really safe or practical.

Talking it over with Jim, we decided the best thing would be to trace around the placard/panel junction with a very sharp knife to break the edge of the varnish....

allowing me to peel a small piece off. I wasn't sure if I had attached it with tape or superglue gel, and peeling off the corner revealed tape which was a relief since it would be easier to peel off than if it was attached with the CA gel.

Uhhh... Jim... (note the tape covering the spreader so it would not scratch the panel.)

It popped right off, leaving the tape.

and some glue residue.

A barely moistened rag with some thinner took care of that.

And Coco says "Whew!!"
